The casting process of small precision castings is an excellent technology in the casting industry with little or no cutting, and its application is very extensive. Stainless steel precision casting has a great demand for stainless steel profiles, which can to some extent promote the processing of stainless steel precision casting. In the process of precision casting of stainless steel, there may be some difficult problems that we find difficult to solve.
Below is a sharing of the machining difficulties in the casting process of stainless steel precision castings:
1. Severe hardening of stainless steel precision castings during machining: there is a tendency for machining hardening, and the tool is located in the machining hardening zone, which shortens the tool life.
2. High cutting force and high cutting temperature: This type of material has high strength, tangential stress during cutting, and plastic deformation, so the cutting force is high. In addition, the thermal conductivity of the material is extremely poor, and high temperatures are often concentrated in narrow areas near the cutting edge of the tool, thereby accelerating tool wear.
3. The wear of cutting tools is accelerated, and materials generally contain elements with high melting points and strong plasticity. The high cutting temperature accelerates the wear of cutting tools, causing them to grind faster and frequently replace them, thereby affecting production efficiency and increasing tool usage costs.
We are all processing stainless steel precision casting, and you can follow the above processing methods.
