Casting industry is an archaic and modern industry, casting products (such as: automobile investment casting, automobile parts made by casting, car castings) are used in all sectors, the casting industry's total output value has accounted for 0.5 ~ 1% of the national economic output value, is to promote the economic development of one of the important basic industries. It is one of the major basic industries to promote economic development.
Casting industry in China is developing rapidly, in 2002, China's total production of castings has reached the world's first, to 2007 for six consecutive years to maintain the world's first, and the total production of castings was sustained, rapid growth trend, Figure 2 lists China's casting production from 2002 to 2007 in each year. The world casting is also a gradual upward trend, 05 years the world's casting products in the total amount of 75 million tonnes or so, and in 08 years will reach nearly 100 million tonnes.
Domestic gross domestic product in recent years at a rate of about 10% of the rapid development of casting products used in automotive, machinery, metallurgy, construction and other industries have made a historic leap forward, resulting in rapid growth in domestic demand for castings year by year: the developed countries is also an important market for casting applications, but these countries are subject to more and more stringent environmental protection requirements, the high cost of manufacturing labour, and China's cheap Castings prices form a sharp contrast, resulting in its castings manufacturing enterprises declined year by year, turn to China and other developing countries to purchase, so also contributed to a large number of domestic castings exports, increasing the degree of domestic demand for castings.
Foreseeable future, the casting industry is still China's most important foundation industry, casting products will further increase the global market share, the dominant position of the domestic casting industry, the global, especially China's rapid economic development, decided to cast products with more and more broad sales market, the casting industry is facing great opportunities for development.
